Elden Ring DLC Speculations
Although FromSoftware has been all but silent about the upcoming DLC, it has not stopped Elden Ring fans from making tons of speculations. So far, we only have the image of the upcoming Elden Ring DLC. And other than this, we know its name: Shadow of the Erdtree. And that’s it.
Remarkably, based only on the image and the name of the DLC, Elden Ring fans have come up with numerous story content speculations. Of these, a few are quite notable and likely to be what the DLC is going to be about.
The DLC feature image shows us a rider in the foreground and a tree in the background which is leaking some sort of dust. When we compare it with its name, we find that it is too literal. Maybe this is what the DLC is about: Shadow of the Erdtree.
But that is not important. The rider in the image foreground has stolen way more attention than the tree. There is a mysterious aura about it and fans are hugely speculating.
Consequently, this one such speculation revolves around the legendary character, Miquella, whom players never get to meet physically in the game. He is the twin brother of Malenia who is one of the most powerful demigods in the game. For now, in the base game, players only hear about Miquella under item descriptions.
Perhaps the most terrifying thing about Miquella surrounds the bone-chilling remark given by his twin sister, Malenia, that he is the most powerful of all demigods! Now, given the countless failed attempts players make while fighting Malenia, one can only imagine in horror what is truly Miquella capable of!
It is worth noting that despite Miquella’s rumored strengths, he is cursed to stay forever young. Also, his beloved sister’s body is slowly but continuously being rotten away by another curse. As such, he is constantly trying to figure out ways in order to cure both of these curses. So far, he has not been successful.
Moreover, Miquella is not present in the game during the player’s time in Lands Between. As part of the optional storyline, if completed by players, they would find out that Miquella has been kidnapped by Mohg who is seeking to elevate himself to the level of God. Currently, Miquella is sleeping in some weird flesh cocoon.
